Now, some of it of course, is rather good, if not brilliant.

Some of it appears to hammer your eardrums… Emitted from a huge speakers on passing vehicles, the sounds reach through brick walls and can be heard kilometers away. They are apparently advertising something that everyone needs to know about…

Or it might be just your next door neighbor who wants to pump up his favorite songs. And his neighbor too. And the family next to that…

Then there’s local music bars, clubs, cafes and a couple of those massive TV screens that exist to show football adventures in extreme detail.

But wait! What about festivities? Think Thai music and dancers, a super-high decibel limit, and let’s tweak up the treble and the bass. And then we’ll mix it all together into a wall of sound so that all can enjoy the Thai experience.

This is how the Thais must like their Thai music.

Loud and lots of it.

I still recommend you visit Thailand, because it’s a wonderful country. You might, though, want to bring noise canceling headphones or earplugs…

And I’ll SEE you here soon.

Why travel to Thailand? Well, there’s many good reasons. And one reason in particular that I notice over and over in my travels around Southern Thailand is what I call the ‘beautiful friendliness’ of the Thai people. It sure is an amazing gift.
Why travel to Thailand? Well, there’s many good reasons. And one reason in particular that I notice over and over in my travels around Southern Thailand is what I call the ‘beautiful friendliness’ of the Thai people. It sure is an amazing gift. Of course, not everyone is warm and welcoming, but generally speaking, I’m often welcomed into families (and Thai homes) as if I was a family member…

What I mean by that is that I’m made to feel at home pretty much wherever I go. And to be honest, I also do get the same questions over and over again… which is probably why my Thai language has become so good. (This shows you the power of repetition learning). And believe me, Southern Thai ain’t exactly spoken slowly down these parts!

The Thai people in general seem to have a nice, natural curiosity. There’s hardly a burden of seriousness anywhere to be seen. And when you do see it, it’s quite noticeable… maybe because it’s so rare… In fact, if a Thai person is serious, they might just tell you they are. It’s quite sweet. My first reaction is to think ‘why’s that?‘

But why travel to Thailand? Well, that ‘beautiful friendliness’ which is truly a gift of greatness, is a great reason to come. This is me saying this… I’m from Australia, and we’re known as a pretty laid back race of folks too. And, well the bird sounds are particularly remarkable, and everything grows about 2 feet a day. Or is that two meters?

Travel to Thailand? There’s thousands of good reasons why… and we’ll talk about it again soon… but I know you’ll love it, for sure.

Would you consider retirement Thailand?
You’d have to seriously consider all aspects to it…
Thailand has a lot of good things going for it.
Some great resorts, a relaxed lifestyle, healthy food.
Charming people.
Low cost of living.
Can be very hot (tropical) and stormy.
The question really is…
Where would you live?
Go beach, or go mountain.
Or go inland…
Food for thought…
.
